Hello everyone!

This space will entirely devote to expressing thoughts, so that the author is pleading for your indulgence and perseverance to treat all the information that you shall read and know as confidential. Treat it as if you have listened to friends who truly need confidant ears. You may be wondering how we can consider it as part of communication process, when only the side of the writer will be read or heard. Yes, it is, simply because reading thoughtfully or listening intently is still part of good communication.

Wow, that sounds different! Could you imagine applying confidentiality about subject matters you publish in the net? You could be pulling our legs. This seems absurd. Aha, you mean the other way around. It’s the writer’s way of stating his thoughts.

This blog is a simple form of therapy for its writer and maybe for you too. Expressing thoughts and feelings toward certain issues could somehow lighten ones load and for those with the same situations some sympathetic harmony could be attained. It is just like saying you may be right but please allow me to say my piece. The different views on particular issues will surely produce opposing opinions and that is what freedom of expression guarantees us. But here, we shall limit each other to just expressing opinions and shall allow contradicting ones to be expressed too without getting into the lengthy arguments. In other words, we must always have civil letting out but not brutal getting on.

The readers may write dissenting opinions about particular subject matters discussed here but less likely should we expect rebuttal from the writers. In other words, we shall treat your opinions as matured statement of your thoughts. It will add up to the opinions expressed here and will allow you too, to let your thoughts out and probably relieve your mind somehow. But if in your commentary you employ humor on very delicate and serious subjects, we shall applaud you graciously. Cheers for making all our days brighter and more positive.

Always remember that there is no wrong opinion but rather valid opinions expressed at wrong situations and conditions. Let’s practice that.

The Alternative Sources of Power

The dangerous conditions of the nuclear power plant in Japan seemed to be under control for now, as some of the workers sacrificed their lives to prevent total nuclear fallout. Although the situations there did not affect the neighboring countries, it did send stern warning about the use of nuclear as source of power.

Just recently, the Lady Chancellor of Federal Republic of Germany with the full backing of their legislators decided to stop the operations of all their nuclear power plants within a particular period of time. Germany will use alternative sources of power. The decision may or may not be directly influenced by the Japanese experience. Nonetheless it could greatly contribute to continued research and development on alternative sources of power. The decision will surely gain support and following, since Germany is an industrialized country and has technical, manpower and financial capabilities to launch vigorous effort to develop technical advancements and techniques to attain total reliance on alternative sources of power.

The past decades were characterized by too much dependence of almost all nations on oil and nuclear as common sources of power. It is time to concentrate all our activities towards the development and improvement of other sources of power. In each country, all the researches in government and in academic facilities should be geared to the discovery and enhancement of alternative sources of power. The different branches of government and the learning institutions should be the very first to patronize the products and technological breakthroughs of such research and development efforts to ensure their financial success.

The resistance to this effort could be greater than what an ordinary person could think about. The millions spent on the lobby groups by multi-national corporations that benefit from the continued use of oil and nuclear as sources of power will be though to handle and hurdle. The mind set of government leaders and decision makers could also present problem of sort.

The unwavering and relentless effort and support of the developed and industrialized countries in the attainment of this objective will surely spell the difference. The protection and preservation of the environment will be the rallying point in using the alternative sources of power. The popular support will come from the countries of the third world that will follow the development in the advanced nations. Together we should contribute the best of our capabilities.
